Ceremonial-grade matcha, stone-milled to an ultra-fine powder and sealed into a 50g tin. Smooth enough to whisk with nothing but water, vivid enough to hold its colour through milk. This is the tin we drink every morning.

Most matcha people have tried was culinary grade, which is made for baking and tastes bitter on its own. This is not that.

How to prepare

1. Scoop. Sift 2g (about one bamboo scoop) into a bowl to break up any clumps.
2. Whisk. Add 60ml of water just off the boil - around 80°C, never boiling - and whisk briskly in a zig-zag for 15-20 seconds until a fine foam forms.
3. Pour. Drink it as it is, or top with hot or cold milk for a latte.
